The showcase of student innovation
On 27 June 2026, the halls of EIDIA (School of Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence) at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fès turned into an innovation fair. Students from the 2026 cohort presented their final-year projects (PFE) before juries made up of faculty researchers and industry professionals.
Projects that address real-world challenges
The defenses covered an impressive spectrum of disciplines:
Artificial intelligence and Big Data. Predictive models, recommendation systems and natural language processing applications that demonstrate mastery of cutting-edge tools — TensorFlow, PyTorch, transformer architectures.
Cybersecurity. Intrusion detection solutions, vulnerability analysis and information-system hardening, in a context where Morocco is accelerating its digital transformation.
Robotics and cobotics. Prototypes combining mechatronics and embedded intelligence, designed for industry and precision agriculture.
Full Stack development and e-commerce. Among the standout projects: a composable-services architecture to streamline the development of e-commerce platforms — a topic directly connected to the needs of Moroccan startups.
Multimedia and ICT. Immersive applications and communication tools augmented by AI.
From final-year project to startup
Beyond technical skill, what these presentations demonstrate is the ability of EIDIA students to identify concrete problems and deliver viable technological answers. Several final-year projects from previous cohorts have given rise to startups now supported by the Euromed Innovation Center.
Here the EIC plays the role of a bridge: students who wish to turn their academic project into an entrepreneurial venture find at the EIC a Fab Lab to prototype, mentors to structure their business model, and access to incubation programs such as STARTECH or AInnovathon.
A talent pool for the ecosystem
With ever-larger cohorts and increasingly ambitious project topics, EIDIA is establishing itself as one of the main tech talent pools in Morocco. For recruiters, investors and EIC partners, these defenses are an event not to be missed.
EIDIA is recruiting for the 2026-2027 academic year. Find the details on the UEMF website.
