A new distinction for the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fès in the field of artificial intelligence. At the RallyIA Future Lab 2026, four students from the EIDIA (School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) won 3rd place in the « Security & Sovereignty » track with their project ZeroLeak AI.
The RallyIA Future Lab: AI immersion in Merzouga
Organized by Jazari Institute from 16 to 20 June 2026 in Merzouga, in the heart of the Drâa-Tafilalet region, the RallyIA Future Lab is a national competition that brings together AI talent around concrete challenges. Participating teams must design and prototype innovative solutions under intensive conditions, with a focus on real-world impact and technical feasibility.
ZeroLeak AI: protecting sensitive data from AI
The EIDIA team — Imane Benelfkir, Khadija Bouargaine, Imane Hadi and Abderrahmane Fathi — developed ZeroLeak AI, a smart platform designed to protect sensitive data before it is shared with artificial-intelligence tools.
The solution rests on four technical pillars:
- Automatic data classification to identify sensitive information
- Continuous risk analysis to assess threats in real time
- Granular access control to limit data exposure
- Human validation to keep a human in the decision loop
This is a subject at the heart of current concerns, as the massive adoption of generative AI tools raises major questions of data sovereignty and confidentiality.
A competition momentum driven by the EIC
This result is part of a series of successes for the UEMF ecosystem in 2026. In April, another EIDIA team had already won the 2nd national prize and the Jazari Coup de cœur Award at the RamadanIA 2026 hackathon.
These performances illustrate the impact of the Euromed Innovation Center's support programs — STARTECH, HACK'DAYS and the Digi-Hackathon — which cultivate students' ability to move from idea to working prototype.
